The beginning of the SUN TUNNELS project: experimental clarinet solos at Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels, deep in the desert

I spent the weekend in the desert.  Saturday evening we filmed and recorded in all 4 sun tunnels, as I slowly performed all six movements of Michael Pisaro’s Within 6, somehow finishing right with the sunset.  Sunday morning I recorded solos of Christian Wolff, Daniel Goode and Lucie Vitkova.  It was i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e.  So many thanks to my team, Andrew James, Tom Bear, Devin Maxwell and my daughter June, a newly minted audio engineer.
